The city currently has 27 planned industrial parks, including 16 under development; 62 planned industrial clusters, including 23 in operation; five economic zones; and more than 240 FDI projects with total registered capital exceeding USD 17 billion. Quang Ninh also has two World Heritage Sites and more than 600 historical relics, providing important advantages for tourism development. In 2026, the city is striving for GRDP growth of more than 13% and State budget revenue of around VND 100 trillion.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Justice of Laos Khamphan Bounphakhom expressed expressed his hope that Quang Ninh would continue to provide support and actively expand cooperation and solidarity with the three northern provinces of Laos. The discussions and exchanges at the working session would provide useful experience for members of the delegation to study and apply in leadership and direction of socio-economic development in their localities in the coming period.
