On August 27, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Quan Minh Cuong received the delegations from the three northern Lao provinces of Luang Prabang, Houaphanh, and Xayabouly, who traveled to Quang Ninh to attend the city's inauguration ceremony.
Welcoming the delegations, Secretary Quan Minh Cuong emphasised that their presence at this landmark event reflected the close ties, warm sentiments and strong friendship between Quang Ninh and localities in Laos. He expressed hope that both sides will continue to deepen cooperation across various fields, including people-to-people exchanges, culture, education and healthcare. He also called on the three northern Lao provinces to promptly implement agreed-upon projects, particularly projects schools and hospitals supported by Quang Ninh.
Speaking on behalf of the Lao delegations Secretary of the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Bounleuam Manivong, expressed his appreciation for the warm and cordial reception extended by the leaders of Quang Ninh Province. He also conveyed his congratulations to the Party organisation, authorities and people of Quang Ninh on this milestone of special significance. He said that Quang Ninh’s establishment as a city would create additional momentum for the province to continue its strong development and improve the living standards of its people, while further strengthening cooperation between Quang Ninh and Lao localities.
