On September 22, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh City, Vu Quyet Tien, had a courtesy meeting with Phengnilan Khamphanpheng, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Xayaboury Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Xayaboury Provincial People's Council, on the occasion of a delegation of officials and managers from Xayaboury Province attending a knowledge management training course organised by Quang Ninh City.
Briefing the Lao delegation on Quang Ninh City’s socio-economic development and the results of cooperation between Quang Ninh city and Xayaboury Province, Deputy Secretary Vu Quyet Tien stressed that cooperation between Quang Ninh City and the three northern Lao provinces, including Xayaboury, had developed over nearly 16 years and achieved important results, serving as a vivid reflection of Vietnam–Laos relations at the local level. He expressed his hope that the two localities would continue to nurture and strengthen their relationship, making it increasingly close, effective and substantive.
Impressed by Quang Ninh City’s outstanding achievements, Secretary of the Xayaboury Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Xayaboury Provincial People's Council, Phengnilan Khamphanpheng thanked Quang Ninh City for its attention and assistance in developing educational facilities and human resources for the province, particularly its contingent of leaders and managers. He said the knowledge and experience gained would be effectively applied in the course of their work in Xayaboury Province.
