From September 3 to 8, a Quang Ninh City delegation led by Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Internal Affairs Commission of the Quang Ninh City Party Committee, Duong Manh Cuong, is paying a working visit to Hokkaido, Japan, with a focus on attending the Vietnam Festival in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido. The visit aims to further strengthen friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, particularly between Quang Ninh City and Hokkaido.
This is the fourth year that Quang Ninh has participated in the Vietnam Festival in Hokkaido, Japan, and it is the only Vietnamese locality invited by the Organising Committee to attend the festival. During the event, the delegation will take part in art performances and activities promoting the image, culture and tourism of Quang Ninh, while introducing areas where the two sides have potential for cooperation.
The Quang Ninh delegation will also participate in a forum themed “Strengthening local linkages through culture, sports, tourism, exchanges and human resources training”. The forum will provide an opportunity for Quang Ninh to exchange experience and explore new areas of cooperation, particularly in areas where the two localities have complementary strengths and mutual interests. Exchange and promotional activities in promising markets such as Japan will not only help bring the image of Quang Ninh closer to international friends, but also open up further opportunities for connectivity in tourism, trade, investment, human resources training and economic development.
