On October 11, in Quang Ninh City, the Quang Ninh Tourism Association held a working session with Japan’s Nachi-Katsuura Tourism Organisation to foster business connections and seek cooperation in tourism product development.
At the meeting, representatives of the Quang Ninh Tourism Association highlighted the city’s tourism potential and key strengths, including Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; Yen Tu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; marine, island, mountainous and border tourism resources; hot mineral spring resorts; and distinctive cultural values. They also highlighted the city’s well-connected road, sea and air transport infrastructure. Tourism businesses shared information about their high-quality products and services, as well as Quang Ninh’s plans to attract more international visitors.
Nachi-Katsuura, a town in Japan’s Wakayama Prefecture, shares several geographical similarities with Quang Ninh, including coastal and mountainous landscapes, natural hot springs and unique cultural heritage.
The working session provided an opportunity for tourism businesses from both sides to learn about market demand, share experiences in improving service quality and explore tourism products centred on relaxation, culture and nature-based experiences. These efforts are expected to strengthen cooperation and increase tourist exchanges between Quang Ninh and Nachi-Katsuura in the years ahead.
