With nine industrial park infrastructure projects under development covering more than 4,300 hectares, representing total registered capital of around VND31.881 trillion and US$220.34 million, Quang Ninh is gradually developing large-scale industrial spaces, creating clean land to attract secondary projects and generate new growth momentum in the new period.

Among the nine projects, the Bac Tien Phong and Song Khoai industrial parks have entered the infrastructure completion stage, gradually putting industrial land into use and attracting secondary investors. Bac Tien Phong Industrial Park covers around 1,180 hectares, with total investment of VND6.94 trillion. It has attracted 38 secondary projects, 36 of which have been granted investment registration certificates, with total registered capital of around US$3.1 billion.

Bac Tien Phong Industrial Park has attracted 38 secondary projects, 36 of which have been granted investment registration certificates, with total registered capital of around US$3.1 billion.

Meanwhile, Song Khoai Industrial Park has attracted 25 secondary projects with total registered capital of around US$3.35 billion. These results show that as infrastructure is gradually completed, industrial land can quickly be transformed into investment attraction potential, creating further room for production development.

The Dong Trieu, An Hung Quang Ninh, Green Bay Tech, Northeast Airport, VB Quang Yen, Bach Dang II and VSIP Quang Ninh industrial parks all broke ground in August 2026. The simultaneous implementation of these projects is creating additional industrial land and expanding Quang Ninh’s industrial development space. However, for these projects to become genuine drivers of growth, the focus must go beyond infrastructure completion to shortening the time needed to prepare serviced land and improving infrastructure and services within industrial parks, thereby enhancing their ability to attract secondary projects featuring advanced technology, high added value and strong spillover effects.

Alongside expanding its industrial scale, Quang Ninh is shifting from broad-based investment attraction towards selecting projects that align with its vision of green and modern development and feature advanced technology and high added value. The new industrial parks will not only add production capacity but also create conditions for stronger linkages between industry and logistics, seaports, services and other economic spaces.

To accelerate progress, the city has asked departments, agencies and localities to review and address individual bottlenecks while clearly defining responsibilities and deadlines for the projects. Accelerating progress from the early stages will enable the industrial parks to complete serviced land and infrastructure sooner, thereby increasing their attractiveness to secondary investors. Building on the foundation of industrial parks that have already proved effective, the new industrial park system will gradually create large-scale industrial spaces, establish additional growth poles, strengthen competitiveness and contribute to the city’s ambitious growth targets.
