The Miss World 2026 opening ceremony, themed “Welcome Miss World to Quang Ninh – Vietnam”, took place on the evening of August 12 at Halong Marina Beach Square in Bai Chay Ward, drawing around 10,000 delegates, local residents and visitors.

The large-scale, modern programme combined live performances, sound and lighting with Vietnam’s traditional cultural values. The event featured performances by renowned Vietnamese artists, including Le Quyen, Trang Phap, Ha Myo, Will, Hera Ngoc Hang, Yen Nhi and Ari Que Anh, who presented a series of outstanding performances celebrating love for the homeland, national pride and the richness of Vietnamese culture. Alongside the evening-gown presentation, a highlight of the opening ceremony was an áo dài showcase featuring all 111 Miss World 2026 contestants in “The World as I See It”, a collection by designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam. Inspired by the national flags, heritage and distinctive cultural features of the countries represented by the contestants, the designs created a vibrant tapestry of cultures and conveyed Vietnam’s warm welcome to friends from around the world.

The programme opened with the song “Hello Vietnam”, featuring a special performance by first runner-up and singer Hera Ngoc Hang, Miss Que Anh and Miss Yen Nhi.
