Quang Ninh holds election of village and residential group heads for the 2026–2031 term

On August 16, voters across Quang Ninh Province took part in the election of village and residential group heads for the 2026–2031 term. This was the first election held in newly reorganised villages and residential groups following the recent restructuring and mergers, which reduced their number from 1,452 to 624.

A lively election atmosphere prevailed across residential areas throughout the province. For local people, the election was not only an exercise of their right to choose grassroots representatives, but also an opportunity to select leaders who are close to the people, understand their concerns and work closely with the community. A total of 624 election committees, with 6,380 members, were established across the province.

With a strong sense of responsibility, voters enthusiastically exercise their rights and fulfil their civic duties, placing their trust in newly elected residential group heads dedicated to serving the community.

More than 395,300 household representatives exercised their voting rights to elect village and residential group heads for the next five-year term. As an important grassroots political activity and a significant civic occasion, the provincial police force implemented comprehensive measures to ensure security and public order, helping the election take place democratically, safely and in accordance with regulations.
