On August 11, reigning Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata and first runner-up of Mister World 2024 Pham Tuan Ngoc explored several of Quang Ninh’s notable cultural and tourism destinations, including Tran Quoc Nghien Temple, the Provincial Museum and Library, and a three-sail boat tour on Ha Long Bay. They also learned about the province’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
Sharing her experience, reigning Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata said that before coming to Quang Ninh, she had been introduced to the province as a “miniature Vietnam”, a place where the distinctive values of nature, culture and people converge. Through the destinations she visited during the day, the beauty queen had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the province’s history, culture and the lives of local people.
“At the Provincial Museum and Library, I learned about Yen Tu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the cultural diversity of the ethnic communities there. In particular, this was the first time I had learned in such detail about the coal mining industry – a very distinctive part of Quang Ninh’s history and development. I also really enjoyed watching the sunset over Ha Long Bay from a three- panel sailing boat. The scenery here is truly beautiful and left a lasting impression on me. Quang Ninh has so much to discover. Every destination tells a fascinating story about its history, culture and people. This is truly a wonderful beginning to my journey of discovering more about Quang Ninh and Vietnam.” - Reigning Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata said.
