On August 14, Quang Ninh Province organised a programme to honour outstanding students for the 2025–2026 academic year, recognising the achievements and determination of the younger generation. The event was attended by Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the provincial People's Council and People's Committee; representatives of provincial departments, agencies and localities; and 300 outstanding students representing more than 350,000 students across the province.
The 2025–2026 academic year saw Quang Ninh's education sector achieve a number of notable results. In the 2026 national high school graduation examination, the average score of Quang Ninh candidates ranked 12th among 34 provinces and centrally governed cities. In academic competitions, 3,589 students won provincial-level awards, while at the national level, Quang Ninh students won 82 awards, including two first prizes.
A highlight of the programme was a direct dialogue between students and the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of provincial departments and agencies. The questions focused on practical issues related to education, learning and the future of the younger generation.
Speaking at the event, Secretary Quan Minh Cuong reaffirmed the consistent view that “investing in education is investing in the future.” He said the province would continue to build a safe, healthy and modern educational environment.
