Once a locality that faced considerable transport difficulties, Quang Ninh has now developed a multimodal transport system, with an increasingly integrated road network. From the Ha Long–Van Don and Van Don–Mong Cai expressways, which have expanded connectivity towards the eastern part of the province, to mountainous areas, the replacement of temporary crossings and makeshift bridges with solid concrete bridges is bringing about visible changes. Alongside external transport links, intra-provincial transport is one of the key foundations for Quang Ninh to create new development space in the coming period. From urban areas to mountainous communities, and from industrial parks to production zones, an increasingly integrated transport network is strengthening connections among different development areas. It is also providing a foundation for Quang Ninh to expand its growth space, maximise the strengths of each area and move towards a more unified and modern development framework.
