On August 14, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Khang chaired a meeting to review a plan to attract investment following the approval of the province's planning schemes.
According to a proposal by the Department of Finance, Quang Ninh plans to attract 461 non-state-funded projects during the 2026–2030 period, with total investment capital exceeding VND 1.6 quadrillion. The focus will be placed on five key industry clusters: electronics, equipment and automation; logistics, seaports and international trade; the green economy, clean energy and environmental technology; digital infrastructure, data centres and digital services; and high-end tourism and quality services. The project portfolio will not be limited to key economic growth centres such as Quang Yen, Van Don and Mong Cai, but will also be distributed across communes, wards and special zones throughout the province, helping ensure balanced and sustainable development.
