Selective attraction of foreign investment, with priority given to projects aligned with the development strategy, is among Quang Ninh’s key tasks under Politburo Resolution No. 10 on developing the foreign-invested economic sector.
In the first eight months of 2026, Quang Ninh attracted more than US$1.1 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI). Notably, 58.1% of the registered capital went to the processing and manufacturing industry, while 96.3% of the total attracted capital was invested in industrial parks and economic zones. For the full year of 2026, Quang Ninh has set a target of attracting US$2–3 billion in FDI, focusing on high-tech projects, processing and manufacturing, clean energy, and the green and circular economy.
