As part of the “Yen Tu - Meditative Autumn Colours 2026” programme, a series of cultural, sporting and heritage experience activities will take place from late October to December. The programme aims to promote the image of Yen Tu, diversify tourism products and mark Vietnam Culture Day on November 24.
The program features four main events combining sporting competitions, cultural exchanges and opportunities to experience Yen Tu’s heritage.
The series will open with the first “Yen Tu Chess King” Chinese chess tournament, scheduled for October 31 to November 1. This will be followed by a contest to find the best presenter of Yen Tu, to be held on November 7-8. The competition will offer an opportunity to promote the heritage site’s historical, cultural significance, as well as its scenic beauty, through interpretation and destination presentation.
The Yen Tu Heritage Marathon 2026, themed “Touch the heritage,” is scheduled for November 28-29. The race combines running with the area’s landscapes and culture, and is expected to introduce Yen Tu to runners and visitors.
The series will conclude with the programme “Yen Tu at dawn - Following in the footsteps of King-Buddha Tran Nhan Tong”, scheduled for December 9. The programme will be held in conjunction with the grand ceremony commemorating the 718th anniversary of King-Buddha Tran Nhan Tong’s attainment of Nirvana.
Under the theme “Yen Tu - A Year-Round Heritage Destination,” the program aims to diversify experiential tourism products and promote the Yen Tu’s cultural, historical and spiritual values. The combination of sporting events with cultural and tourism activities is expected to boost the destination’s appeal and raise Yen Tu’s profile in the final months of 2026.
