Unitiled "Soong Co yellow season", the first cultural and sports festival of San Chi minority ethnic people was launched in Tien Yen district in Oct. 25.
As part of a series of events responding to Culture and Sports Week of the Ethnic Minority Groups in Quang Ninh's Northeastern Region, the festival aimed to make a significant contribution to preserving and promoting the cultural beauty and long - lasting value of San Chi minority ethinic people in the mountainous district of Tien Yen.
Within the framework of the festival, locals and tourists had an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the rice harvest season in a large area of yellow terraced fields, directly saw the rituals for praying for a fertile crop, participated in a variety of sports activities and folk games.
There was also a Soong-co singing contest, a show of blowing the leaf horn, a show of traditional outfits and a trade fair showcasing local agricultural products.
"Soong Co yellow season" festival is expected to be a new and alluring tourist product win winter in Tien Yen district.
