The Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued Official Document No. 4449, dated July 13, 2026, requesting the Quang Ninh Media Group, communes, wards and special zones, and businesses across the province to coordinate live screenings of the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals and final. This initiative aims to simultaneously promote the province's cultural, sports and tourism attractions, and its socio-economic achievements.
Under the plan, localities and participating organisations are encouraged to select suitable public venues such as public squares, cultural centres and tourist sites to host non-commercial public screenings of the matches. Promotional videos themed "Quang Ninh – A Safe, Friendly and Attractive Destination" will be shown before and after the live broadcasts provided by Vietnam Television (VTV).
The FIFA World Cup 2026, running from June 12 to July 20, features 48 national teams competing in 104 matches. The semi-finals and final, scheduled from July 15 to 20, provide Quang Ninh with an opportunity to showcase its tourism appeal while enhancing the experience for both residents and visitors.
