On June 23, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Quan Minh Cuong received Takebe Tsutomu, Special Advisor to the Japan–Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance and Special Advisor to Ha Long University, on a courtesy visit.
At the meeting, Special Advisor to the Japan–Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance Takebe Tsutomu expressed his pleasure at returning to Quang Ninh and spoke highly of the cooperation results achieved between Quang Ninh and Japanese localities in recent years, particularly with Hokkaido Prefecture. Cooperation programmes in education and training, festival organisation, cultural and artistic exchanges, and trade promotion have been implemented effectively, contributing to stronger mutual understanding and closer ties between the people of the two localities.
Mr. Takebe Tsutomu noted that Hokkaido Prefecture will host a Vietnam Festival in Asahikawa City this September and respectfully invited Quang Ninh’s Party Committee Secretary to attend the event. He also proposed organising an Applied Japanese Studies Knowledge Assessment Examination at Ha Long University to create additional opportunities for students to improve their understanding of Japanese culture, language and working environment.
Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Quan Minh Cuong highly valued the political trust and close relationship fostered between the leaders of Quang Ninh and Hokkaido through delegation exchanges, cultural activities, and cooperation in education and training. In particular, cooperation with Ha Long University has become a highlight of bilateral relations, contributing to the further strengthening of the Viet Nam–Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
