Co To special zone has put the free “Coto Free Wi-Fi” system into operation at the square of the Special National Relic Site dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh, one of four locations where the service is being deployed on the island, thereby improving digital amenities and experiences for residents and tourists.
At the square, Co To Telecommunications installed free Wi-Fi access points providing broad coverage that supports up to 600 concurrent connections. This central location regularly attracts large numbers of residents and tourists, particularly during the peak tourism season.
Once connected, users gain free internet access and can log into the local digital tourism portal. The platform features digital maps, directories of attractions, accommodation establishments and restaurants, ferry schedules, event listings, emergency hotlines, and QR codes.
The Wi-Fi system is also scheduled to be installed at Co To Port, Hong Van Beach and Van Chay Beach - key tourist hubs vital to the island's sightseeing and vacation itinerary.
The expansion of Wi-Fi coverage at key tourist sites not only provides practical convenience but also improves digital infrastructure and service quality. Thereby, Co To is gradually developing into a modern, smart and hospitable destination that integrates technology with environmental protection and the development of a civilised tourism.
