More than 3,000 people join International Day of Yoga 2026

On June 21, at October 30 Square in Ha Long Ward, the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Embassy of India in Vietnam, organised the 12th International Day of Yoga 2026 under the theme “Yoga – Healthy Living Through the Years.”

More than 3,000 participants from yoga federations, associations and clubs both within and outside the province joined a large-scale mass yoga performance, promoting messages of balanced living, positive wellbeing and harmony with nature. The year 2026 marks 12 years since the United Nations recognised June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.

This year’s event continued to highlight the role of yoga in improving physical and mental health, promoting healthy lifestyles and contributing to sustainable wellbeing for people of all ages. The celebration not only helps promote grassroots sports and physical activity movements but also strengthens cultural exchanges and friendship between Vietnam and India.
