On June 27, the Institute of Marine and Island Research under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations held a scientific seminar in Bai Chay Ward on the sustainable development of the blue economy in northern Vietnam’s marine region.
Experts highlighted the region’s strategic importance, development potential and current state of blue economy development, reviewed Vietnam’s policy and legal framework for the development of the blue economy, examined global economic trends, and proposed recommendations on green finance, investment incentives and state governance for the blue economy. The seminar also put forward policy recommendations, practical models and solutions to improve the formulation and implementation of policies and legislation, thereby supporting the implementation of Vietnam’s Strategy for the sustainable development of the marine economy through 2030, with a vision to 2045.
