Quang Ninh's Chairman meets with Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam

On Nov.12, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Tuong Van hosted a reception for Mr. Ibnu Had, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Vietnam.

On behalf of Quang Ninh’s leaders, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Van, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, warmly welcomed Mr. Ibnu Had and his entourage to Quang Ninh, especially on the occasion of the forthcoming 65th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Indonesia (December 30, 1955 - 2020).

He also briefly introduced the delegation about Quang Ninh’s typical geographical features, socio-economic situations as well as its long-term development orientation.

“In terms of investment attraction, the province has offered investors a range of incentive policies and active support”, he said.

The chairman hoped that this official visit would promote the cooperation between Quang Ninh and provinces and cities in Indonesia.

For his part, Mr. Ibnu Hadi gave great thanks to Quang Ninh leaders’ enthusiastic reception and affirmed the increased cooperation between Indonesia and Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh northern province in particular. As strategic partners, Indonesia and Vietnam have together built the strategic partnership in across fields such as economy, trade, investment, politics and security, as well as cultural and social links and people-to-people exchange.

He highly appreciated Quang Ninh’s support towards two Indonesian companies operating in the province and shared his hope for active collaboration between Quang Ninh and the business community in Indonesia in near future.
