Two new Covid-19 infected cases recorded on the afternoon of Feb.4 in Ha Khau ward in Ha Long city used to be in the list of F1 contacts found by the authorities, reported the Department of Health.
By 5pm Feb.4, 88,699 contacts from F1 to F4 had been traced across the province. The overall number of samples taken currently stands at 37,400, including 44 positive results and 26,532 negative results, whilst 824 tests are still being processed.
All suspected cases have been isolated in medical facilities or at home in line with regulations.
Among the 44 positive cases in Quang Ninh, two are now undergoing treatment at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh district of Hanoi, whilst the remaining 42 are isolated for treatment at Hospital No. 2 in Ha Long City, the Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital and Quang Ninh Obstetrics And Pediatrics Hospital.
The province has ordered the strict employment of pandemic prevention and control measures. All agencies and individuals in the city are required to determine the fight against Covid-19 as the most important and urgent mission before, during and after the Lunar New Year holiday.
