The information has been released at the press conference on informing Quang Ninh’s plan to carry out the tourism stimulus program with the purpose of welcoming 3 million tourist arrivals in the 4th quarter of 2020.
Accordingly, 64 appealing events and activities in the fields of culture, sports, tourism and trade are going to be launched across the province during the fourth quater, of which, 30 will be held in October, 20 in November and 14 in December.
Some must-enjoy activities include the Week for Quang Ninh Seafood and OCOP fair, Binh Lieu yellow seaon festival, Ao dai Festival, the national festival of sea kites - Halong 2020, etc.
As part of the stimulus plan, the tourism sector will accelerate the media campaign highlighting the message “Quang Ninh - a safe, attractive and responsible destination”, enhancing tourism promotion and advertisement inside and outside the province, and offering packages of products linked to various destinations and events with reasonable prices and good quality services.
The plan aims to receive 3 million visitor arrivals to a range of tourist places in the province during the fourth quarter, contributing to ensuring the province’s two-digit growth rate in 2020.
Quang Ninh is home to Ha Long Bay, one of the seven world wonders, which has been twice recognized by the UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage. It houses Dragon Park and Typhoon Water Park, the two largest amusement parks in Southeast Asia.
In recent years the province has attracted large amounts of investment into tourism projects to turn Quang Ninh into an attractive tourist destination in Vietnam.
