On June 6, alongside localities across Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province launched a series of activities marking World Environment Day, the Month of Action for the Environment, World Oceans Day, Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2026, and the campaign “All people join hands to protect the environment for a green, clean and beautiful Vietnam” across all 54 communes, wards and special zones.
Provincial leaders attended launch ceremonies held throughout the province. Under the messages “Every citizen is an environmental protector” and “Every family is a green, clean and beautiful home”, the campaign has received strong public support. Activities will continue throughout June, with a peak period from June 1 to 8, including tree planting, environmental clean-ups, plastic waste collection and marine conservation activities. Authorities will promote digital technologies and modern communication tools to raise awareness of environmental protection, reduce marine plastic waste, support climate change adaptation and promote a sustainable blue economy.
