On the morning of October 10, at the Quang Ninh Sports Complex in Tuan Chau ward, the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee held a launch ceremony for the 2026 movement “Every resident chooses at least one suitable sport for regular practice”.
The ceremony was connected online with the central venue under a unified programme of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The activity aims to further spread the movement for physical exercise and sports among the public, encouraging each person to choose at least one sport suited to their conditions, age and health for regular practice.
At the ceremony, delegates and forces followed and responded to the launch programme under the guidance of the central organising committee. The event was organised in a formal, practical and economical manner, while ensuring security and public order. The city also requested stronger communications before, during and after the launch through the press, grassroots information systems, digital platforms and social media.
The launch in Quang Ninh was held in response to the nationwide programme initiated by the Prime Minister, with the central venue at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in Hanoi and online connections to 33 provinces and cities. Through the programme, the physical exercise and sports movement is expected to continue spreading widely, helping foster regular exercise habits and improve people’s health and quality of life.
