On the morning of October 11, the Global Gate Ha Long ESG++ Marathon 2026 - Run for Net Zero took place at Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long in Quang Ninh City, attracting 15,000 athletes competing over three distances of 21km, 10km and 3km.
With the message “Run through the wonder - Reach for a record - Run for Net Zero”, the event combined sporting activities with communications to raise environmental awareness and support the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. A highlight of the event was the recognition of a Vietnam Record for “the running event with the largest number of athletes wearing shirts carrying the ‘Run for Net Zero’ message in Vietnam”. The record was awarded to Duc Huong Anh Co., Ltd. (DHA Vietnam), the organiser, and the Quang Ninh branch of Vinhomes Joint Stock Company, the accompanying partner.
As part of the two-day event, the Organising Committee and participating athletes also planted 2,026 trees in the “ESG Garden”, helping promote green lifestyles and strengthen community responsibility for the environment. The Global Gate Ha Long ESG++ Marathon 2026 is a large-scale sporting event that contributes to diversifying tourism products, strengthening links between sports and tourism, and promoting the image of Quang Ninh to domestic and international visitors.
