Located by the sea, Cai Lan Ha Temple is dedicated to Mau Thoai Phu (the Mother Goddess of Water), who is believed to govern rivers and waterways. For generations, it has been a sacred site closely associated with the cultural and spiritual life of Bai Chay’s coastal community. The restoration and embellishment of the temple will not only meet the legitimate spiritual needs of local residents and visitors but also help preserve and promote traditional cultural values, while fostering spiritual tourism as part of the locality’s sustainable development.

With total investment of nearly VND170 billion, funded entirely through contributions and donations from businesses, benefactors and local residents, the project stands as a testament to the strength of solidarity and the shared commitment of local authorities, businesses and the community.

Once restored and embellished, Cai Lan Ha Temple will feature a layout in the shape of the Chinese character “工” (Gong), a timber-column framework and gracefully curved roof corners, reflecting the distinctive architectural and cultural heritage of northern Viet Nam.
