Dong Trieu milk products which used to be just popular among the local community have currently come onto other markets outside Quang Ninh and become one of must-try food and drinks in this locality.
As reported, 200 cows have been raised in some farms mainly at An Sinh commune in Dong Trieu district under standardized technical procedures, vaccination requirements and nutritious diets.
Two dairy establishments including Dong Trieu Dairy Joint Stock Company and Dong Trieu An Sinh Dairy Joint Stock Company have producted a range of product categories namely pasteurized fresh milk, traditional yogurt, flavored yogurt, glutinous yogurt, yogurt with custard-apple, fruit yogurt, etc.
Particulary, Dong Trieu fresh milk products are produced from 100% pure fresh milk pasteurized at high temperature; therefore, Dong Trieu fresh milk possessed a fatty, greasy and delicious taste.
These products have been listed among 3-star OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products. This program has been implemented since 2013 in Quang Ninh province to boost economic development in rural areas, especially the development of agricultural, non-agricultural and service-based products in each locality in the value chain. Each bottled pasteurized fresh milk (900ml) costs VND 35,000; yogurt products are priced from VND 10,000 to 15,000 per 150-gram box.
Customers are able to purchase these products online via the Quang Ninh provincial online trading flatform at the website http://www.teqni.gov.vn or at a series of Quang Ninh OCOP shops or Dong Trieu milk distributors and agents aross the province.
