Co To’s first industrial-scale marine aquaculture project kicks off

On June 30, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in the Co To Special Zone for Quang Ninh’s first industrial-scale marine aquaculture project.

Covering 209 hectares of sea area with water depths of up to 12 metres and a total investment of nearly VND 67 billion, the project will operate as a high-tech marine farming model using 100% eco-friendly floating materials and modern cage systems. It is expected to improve the efficient use of marine resources while helping protect the marine ecosystem.

By establishing a concentrated farming zone and applying advanced technology to large-scale production, the project is expected to boost both productivity and product quality while fostering stronger linkages across production, processing and distribution chain.
