The yellow flower tea is a famous medical product of Ba Che district. It is made from flowers of golden Camellia plants growed in Don Dac commune in this mountainous district.

Camellia is a famous garden plant worldwide due to the big size, golden colour and transparent waxy appearance of its flowers. Golden Camellia bloom is also widely used to make tea with health teas and beverages being successfully developed and sold in Southeast Asian countries.

Tea flowers contained many nutrition compounds such as protein, sugar, sucrose, vitamin, amino acid, tea polyphenols and caffeine. Therefore, this kind of tea can provide wonderful benefits for good physical, mental, and emotional health.

Located in the eastern part of Quang Ninh province, Ba Che, a mountainous and remote district, is a difficult place to live with over 80% of population being ethnic minority people. The number of poor and nearly-poor families in this district accounts for 30% of the total households. Despite great care from the Party, State, the province, enterprises, individuals and sponsors in assisting poor families and building the rural infrastructure, greater assistance is still needed to boost sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development of Ba Che district.
