On July 2, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Executive Committee held its 10th conference to review the province's socio-economic performance and Party-building work in the first half of 2026, as well as outline key tasks in the remaining months.
During the first half of 2026, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Executive Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee focused on leading and directing the implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 16th Quang Ninh Provincial Party Congress, in alignment with resolutions, directives and conclusions issued by the Party Central Committee and the province's key tasks for 2026. The province recorded positive socio-economic results. Notably, Quang Ninh's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) grew by an estimated by 11.11%, ranking fourth nationwide. The province welcomed over 12.4 million tourist arrivals, generating tourism revenue of more than VND 35 trillion, up 21% year-on-year. Total state budget revenue surpassed VND 48 trillion, representing 66% of the annual target.
Looking ahead, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Quan Minh Cuong urged authorities to clear bottlenecks and barriers, mobilize all available resources for development, achieve an economic growth rate of 13%, and strive for VND 100 trillion in state budget revenue.
