On the occasion of attending the conference reviewing cooperation during the 2022–2026 period between Quang Ninh Province (Vietnam) and the Lao provinces including Xayaboury, Houaphanh and Luang Prabang, held in Luang Prabang Province, Comrade Quan Minh Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Quang Ninh National Assembly Delegation, had a courtersy meeting with Comrade Bounleum Manivong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Head of the Luang Prabang National Assembly Delegation.
Discussing future cooperation, Comrade Quan Minh Cuong expressed strong support for the proposed areas of cooperation between the two localities, particularly the continued enhancement of collaboration in education and human resource development. He also emphasized the importance of increasing delegations exchanges between the two provinces to share experience in Party building, government administration, socio-economic development and other areas aligned with practical needs. He proposed that both sides strengthen coordination in organizing trade promotion activities, introducing local products and facilitating business connections, and enhancing investment and trade promotion efforts. Quang Ninh Province will continue to support Luang Prabang Province in participating in trade fairs organized in Quang Ninh, thereby fostering economic exchanges and cooperation between the two localities.
Affirming that cooperation between the two provinces has continued to develop effectively, Comrade Bounleum Manivong expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation extended by Quang Ninh Province to Luang Prabang. He particularly thanked Quang Ninh for facilitating short-term training courses for the province’s key officials and providing financial support for development of educational and healthcare infrastructure projects. He also proposed that the two localities study the possibility of opening a direct flight route between Quang Ninh and Luang Prabang to promote tourism development, create favorable conditions for Quang Ninh enterprises to invest in Luang Prabang, and further enhance delegationexchanges for visits, working sessions and experience sharing among sectors and localities of the two provinces.
