Continuing its investment, trade, and tourism promotion programme in the Russian Federation, on July 8, the Quang Ninh delegation, led by Nguyen Chi Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province, held working sessions with the Deputy Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast and the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The delegation also visited the Consulate General of Vietnam in Yekaterinburg, and met with Russian enterprises to boost multi-sectoral connectivity.
During talks with the Deputy Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast, Dmitri Alexandrovich Ionin, Nguyen Chi Thanh affirmed that Quang Ninh is always ready to support and create favourable conditions for enterprises from Sverdlovsk Oblast and the Russian Federation to explore investment and business opportunities in the province, particularly in developing direct air routes and expanding cooperation in tourism and trade. Impressed by Quang Ninh's socio-economic achievements and sustainable development orientation, Dmitri Alexandrovich Ionin expressed his hope that the both sides would increase delegation exchanges, strengthen business networking, and expand cooperation in areas of mutual strength.
The Quang Ninh delegation then met with the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ural Export-Import Business Association. Representatives of the Chamber spoke highly valued Quang Ninh's development potential and pledged to act as a bridge connecting the Ural business community with Quang Ninh enterprises.
Earlier, the Quang Ninh delegation organised an investment, trade, and tourism promotion conference in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast. Representatives of corporations, travel companies, hotels, and investors also exchanged market information and explored investment and business cooperation opportunities between the two sides. Building on the mutual trust established between the two sides and recognising the significant potential for cooperation, tourism enterprises from Quang Ninh participating in the delegation signed memoranda of understanding with the Ural Tourism Association and Asia-Ural LLC.
At the visit to the Consulate General of Vietnam in Yekaterinburg, the Quang Ninh delegation briefed the Consulate General on the objectives and discussed orientations for future cooperation with Russian partners. The delegation expressed hope that the Consulate General would continue to serve as a vital role in providing information, facilitating partner matchmaking, promoting Quang Ninh’s image to Russian localities and businesses.
