On June 28, more than 1,000 runners participated in the Thanh Dang – Binh Huong Discovery Trail – Uong Bi 2026. The event was jointly organized by the Uong Bi Ward People's Committee and the Quang Ninh Journalists Association.
The race attracted a diverse group of officials, civil servants, public employees, students, local residents, tourists and international runners from South Korea, China and South Africa, creating a vibrant atmosphere of sporting exchange.
Held to celebrate the first founding anniversary of Uong Bi Ward and mark one year implementation of two-tier local government model, the event aimed to promotethe area's natural landscapes, cultural heritage and tourism potential. It also provided a healthy sporting platform to encourage public participation in sports and physical fitness, contributing to the ward's goal of fostering tourism development tied to the preservation of local cultural values.
