TV Asahi has released the trailer for the special animated episode titled “Doraemon: Birthday Gift – A Trip to Vietnam,” showcasing the beauty of Ha Long Bay and many of Vietnam’s iconic tourist attractions to audiences around the world.
This is the third episode in the “Doraemon Around the World” series, following previous destinations in Thailand and Spain. The story follows the journey of Doraemon and Nobita as they help Shizuka fulfill her dream of exploring Vietnam.
Highlights of the episode include the characters appearing in traditional Vietnamese costumes such as the ao dai and conical hats, alongside famous landmarks including Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh City Central Post Office, and Hoi An Ancient Town, all recreated in Japan’s signature anime style. The special episode is scheduled to air on May 23.
