Known locally as phát dụ núi or phát tài núi ("mountain fortune plant"), the dragon tree is regarded as a symbol of prosperity, good fortune, and enduring vitality. Its remarkable ability to take root on barren limestone cliffs, withstand wind and waves, and thrive in a harsh natural environment has made it an enduring emblem of resilience and perseverance.
Each summer, this extraordinary vitality is rewarded with a spectacular floral display. The golden blossoms, like rays of sunlight resting upon the limestone cliffs, quietly cloak Ha Long Bay in a mantle of purity and quiet majesty. Set against the endless blue of the sea, sky, and limestone karsts, their radiant golden hues create a captivating contrast, transforming every vista into a living landscape masterpiece patiently sculpted by nature over millions of years.
