On June 2, in Mong Cai 2 Ward, Van Ninh International Port Joint Stock Company officially broke ground on Package XL7.1 – the bridge component of the access road to Van Ninh Port, part of Phase 1 of the Van Ninh General Port Project. The contractor is Guangxi Road and Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd. of China.
According to the design, the bridge will be 207.5 meters long and consist of 10 spans arranged in a configuration of (3×20) + (3×20) + (4×20) metres. The structure will have a total width of 12 meters, including an 11-meter carriageway, and a design speed of 40 km/h. The bridge is a key transport infrastructure component of the Van Ninh General Port Project, helping strengthen connectivity between the port area and the existing transport network. It is expected to facilitate cargo transportation, import-export activities and logistics services. The construction of package XL7.1 marks an important milestone in the development of a modern seaport and logistics system in the northeastern gateway of Quang Ninh Province. The project is expected to attract investment, create jobs and contribute to local socio-economic development.
