On March 23, Ba Che Cinnamon One Member Co., Ltd. in Nam Kim hamlet, Ba Che commune exported a shipment of 160 tonnes of cinnamon essential oil to the United States.
According to Ms. Duong Thi Hoa, Director of Ba Che Cinnamon One Member Co., Ltd., the shipment is valued at over US$500,000. This marks the company’s first export to the U.S. since its cinnamon processing plant came into operation in November 2025.
The company is currently focusing on the production of cinnamon essential oil, with a processing capacity of around 5,000 tonnes of raw cinnamon branches and leaves, yielding approximately 100 tonnes of essential oil. From late 2026, it plans to expand into the production of value-added products derived from cinnamon bark.
As part of its long-term development strategy, the company is actively coordinating with research institutes, local authorities, and farmers to develop sustainable cinnamon raw material zones. The company aims to establish approximately 8,000 hectares of cinnamon plantations, promoting organic cultivation, granting planting area codes, and obtaining forest certification to ensure traceability and meet export requirements for key markets such as the EU and the United States.
