On the morning of May 20 (the 4th day of the fourth lunar month), the 2026 Wind Avoiding Festival officially opened at the Vietnam – China Friendship Cultural House in Hoanh Mo Commune in a joyful and vibrant atmosphere, attracting large numbers of local residents and visitors.
This year’s festival features a wide range of rich and distinctive cultural activities, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the traditional cultural values of ethnic communities in the locality.



The event includes various meaningful activities, such as the introduction of Cao Ba Lanh, a provincial historical and cultural and scenic site; the the announcement of the decision recognizing 26 Vietnamese Heritage Trees; the exhibitions and promotion of OCOP products; a series of summer–autumn tourism activities and the “Cao Ly Moonlight Night” programme held monthly on the full moon day at Cao Ly Peak.
The opening ceremony of the 2026 Wind Avoiding Festival marked the beginning of a series of attractive cultural, sports, and tourism activities, contributing to local socio-economic development and promoting the image of Hoanh Mo as an increasingly prosperous locality rich in cultural identity.
