After months of preparation, Ha Long’s traditional three-panel boat tour officially debuted on June 29, offering visitors a unique and culturally rich experience on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay.
Once a familiar part of daily life for Ha Long’s fishing communities, three-panel boats have been revived as a cultural tourism product, reconnecting visitors with the heritage bay’s traditional maritime culture. Featuring signature reddish-brown sails, the boats take passengers on a leisurely coastal journey from Bai Tho Passenger Wharf to the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center, offering fresh perspectives on local life and the heritage land.
The deployment of these traditional sailing boats underscores Quang Ninh Province’s commitment to developing distinctive, culturally profound tourism products. This initiative not only enriches the visitor experiences but also effectively preserves and promotes the outstanding universal values of Ha Long Bay.
