On February 19 (the third day of the Lunar New Year), Quang Ninh welcomed the luxury cruise ship Le Jacques Cartier to Ha Long International Cruise Port, carrying nearly 300 passengers from the United States and Europe.
According to the itinerary, visitors toured the UNESCO-recognized Ha Long Bay, experienced signature tourism offerings, explored local culture and daily life, and joined a Quang Ninh – Hanoi tour program. Le Jacques Cartier is operated by the French cruise line Ponant and caters to high-end travelers seeking premium, internationally recognized services standards. The continued arrival of international cruise ships at the start of the year is expected to build positive momentum for the 2026 tourism season, further enhancing Quang Ninh’s reputation as a safe, friendly and attractive destination for both domestic and international visitors.
