According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quang Ninh welcomed more than 10.145 million tourist arrivals during the first five months of 2026, including over 7.9 million domestic arrivals and more than 2.2 million international arrivals.
Total tourism revenue during the period was estimated at nearly VND 27.7 trillion, up 20 percent compared to the same period last year. In addition to successfully hosting a series of major national and international cultural and sporting events, most notably the 2026 Quang Ninh Summer Tourism, Culture and Sports Week and Ha Long Carnival 2026, the province has effectively implemented tourism stimulus programs, intensified promotional activities and expanded its presence into international markets such as Russia and Australia.
The tourism sector is also focusing on developing new tourism products while maintaining service quality to meet growing visitor demand during the summer peak season.
