Quang Ninh announces strategic plans for a new phase of development

On June 30, Quang Ninh Province announced a series of strategic plans shaping its future urban, economic and infrastructure development.

Quang Ninh Province officially made public the Prime Minister's approvals for the revised Quang Ninh Provincial Master Plan for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050, the General Urban Plan for Quang Ninh Province to 2050, with a vision to 2075. It also announced the decision recognizing Quang Ninh as a Class I urban area. The newly approved plans set out the vision of developing Quang Ninh into an internationally renowned heritage city, a leading maritime economic hub of Vietnam and the ASEAN region, and one of the country's key growth poles. Development will follow a multi-polar, multi-centre model driven by five strategic growth hubs: Ha Long, Mong Cai, Van Don, Quang Yen, and the Yen Tu–Ha Long Bay Heritage Complex.

At the conference, provincial authorities also handed over investment approvals, industrial cluster establishment decisions, and investment registration certificates to 18 projects with a combined investment capital of nearly VND 45 trillion.
