On May 19, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Bui Van Khang had a working session with Amata Group and Marubeni Corporation regarding plans to expand investment in the province in the coming time.
Thailand’s Amata Group is the investor of Song Khoai Industrial Park. To date, this Industrial Park has attracted 25 secondary investment projects. Leaders of Amata Group, in coordination with Marubeni Corporation – one of Japan’s leading investment Groups proposed expanding investment in Uong Bi Industrial Park and the western area of Song Khoai Industrial Park.
Quang Ninh’s Chairman acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions made by Amata Group to Quang Ninh’s socio-economic development, while emphasizing that Quang Ninh continues to maintain positive growth momentum. In particular, Quang Ninh’s position among Vietnam’s top five localities in the 2025 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), as well as its ranking of third nationwide in the Private Sector Economic Efficiency Index, reflects the province’s increasingly improved investment and business environment.
Regarding the proposal by Amata Group and Marubeni Corporation to expand investment, Quang Ninh’s Chairman assigned the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Authority (QEZA) to review land resources, planning schemes, and related conditions in order to advise on suitable implementation plans. Investors were also encouraged to continue studying and expanding investment in other economic zones and industrial parks across the province.
