On June 5, a ceremony was held in Xayaboury Province, Laos, to present the First-Class Labour Order awarded by the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Quang Ninh Province and Friendship Medals to several provincial agencies.
At the ceremony, authorized by the President and Prime Minister of Laos, Comrade Phengnilan Khamphanpheng, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Xayaboury Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Xayaboury Provincial People's Council, awarded the First-Class Labour Order to Quang Ninh Province.
Comrade Phengnilan Khamphanpheng also presented the Lao Government's Friendship Medal to three Quang Ninh agencies including the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial People's Committee Office and the Department of Foreign Affairs in recognition of their contributions to strengthening cooperation and supporting the development of Xayaboury Province.
On this occasion, Xayaboury Province also awarded certificates of merit to 13 organizations and 15 individuals from Quang Ninh in recognition of their contributions to the province's development.
Speaking on behalf of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Quang Ninh Province, Comrade Quan Minh Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Quang Ninh National Assembly Delegation, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Party, State and people of Laos for their longstanding friendship and support. Comrade Quan Minh Cuong said the First-Class Labour Order awarded to Quang Ninh was not only a great honour but also a source of encouragement and responsibility for the province to continue strengthening and deepening the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Laos.
