At the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council session, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Bui Van Khang, presented a report on the province's socio-economic performance in the first half of 2026 and outlined key tasks and solutions for the second half of the year.
During the first half of 2026, the province recorded positive socio-economic results. Notably, Quang Ninh's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) grew by an estimated 11.11%, ranking fourth nationwide. As of July 7, total state budget revenue surpassed VND 62.3 trillion, representing 85% of the annual target. Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows surpassed USD 1 billion, a 3.7-fold increase compared to the same period last year. Significant progress was also made in planning and urban development. The province completed and announced its strategic master plans and was officially recognised as meeting the criteria for a Class I urban area. To achieve its development targets for 2026, the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee will drastically and systematically implement comprehensive and decisive measures throughout the rest of the year.
