On July 3, the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee held its regular meeting for June to review the province's socio-economic performance during the first half of 2026 and outline key tasks in the remaining months.
During the first half of 2026, Quang Ninh's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) grew by an estimated 11.11%, exceeding the six-month growth target by 0.04 percentage points. Total state budget revenue surpassed VND 48 trillion, representing 66% of the annual target and 61% higher than the same period last year. Public investment disbursement reached VND 10.138 trillion, achieving 96% of the six-month target, while total social investment is estimated at VND 61.3 trillion, up 16.4% year-on-year. Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Khang stressed that the province must strive to achieve an annual GRDP growth rate of over 13%. He called on provincial departments, sectors, and localities to maintain a proactive and determined approach, closely following the growth scenario as well as the resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Council.
