The customs authority handled 54,173 declarations from 963 enterprises, with total trade turnover reaching US$3.31 billion. Trade activities have remained stable, while the number of participating enterprises has continued to rise, reflecting a steady expansion of  cross-border trade in the area.

Since March 7, 2026, Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs has piloted weekend customs clearance at Bac Luan II Bridge (Mong Cai International Border Gate). Initial results have been encouraging, with over 100 vehicles processed on average per weekend day, handling over 1,500 tonnes of goods. The extension of clearance time by approximately 30% per week has enabled enterprises to better plan production, reduce warehousing and storage costs, and enhance overall import–export efficiency.
