Yen Tu Autumn Festival 2025 opens with the theme “Meditative shades of autumn”

On the morning of October 5, Yen Tu Autumn Festival 2025 under the theme “Meditative Shades of Autumn” was officially launched at Truc Lam Palace within the Yen Tu Complex of Monuments and Landscapes.

The event was jointly held by the People’s Committee of Yen Tu ward, in collaboration with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ninh province, the Yen Tu relic management board, the provincial journalists’ association, the literature and arts association, and Tung Lam Development JSC.

This year’s festival takes place at a particularly meaningful time, as the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex was officially recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in July 2025. The event also celebrates the success of the 16th Quang Ninh provincial Party Congress and looks ahead to the 14th National Party Congress.

The opening ceremony featured a range of captivating art performances that celebrated the beauty and spirituality of Yen Tu’s cultural traditions.

Highlights included the launch of a Literature - Art - Media Creation Contest inspired by Yen Tu, the debut of a VR360 digital tourism experience introducing the Yen Tu complex, Hang Son temple, and Ho-Xep Bang cave, a national peace and prosperity prayer ceremony, an incense-offering ritual, and a photo and painting exhibition dedicated to Yen Tu.

Visitors also enjoyed folk games, vegetarian cuisine, and the unique Dao Thanh Y cultural space.

Running through December 2025, the Yen Tu Autumn Festival consists of a vibrant calendar of cultural, sporting, and tourism activities including Yen Tu Heritage Marathon - “Touching the Heritage”, Human Chess Tournament - “Yen Tu Chess King”, Bonsai and Ornamental Creatures Festival, art program “Sacred Sounds of Yen Tu”, and the commemoration of the 717th anniversary of Emperor-Monk Tran Nhan Tong’s Nirvana

Earlier, in September 2025, Yen Tu ward successfully hosted the Yen Tu Ultra Trail - “Discover the heritage, spread the essence”, which attracted 1,068 athletes from 34 provinces and 5 countries, officially recognized within the international ITRA points system.

With the theme “Meditative shades of autumn,” the Yen Tu Autumn Festival 2025 is not only a large-scale cultural and tourism event, but also a powerful statement of pride and purpose: “Proud of our heritage - Living with heritage - Enriching from heritage.”

The festival marks an important milestone in establishing Yen Tu as a “Four-season destination” and a model for “Heritage economy and sustainable development,” spreading the sacred beauty and timeless cultural essence of Vietnam to the world.

Under the province’s socio-economic master plan, Yen Tu targets to become one of Vietnam’s leading cultural, ecological, and spiritual tourism centers, targeting 1.5 million visitors annually by 2030 and a tourism revenue of over 1,000 billion VND.
