On November 9, Quang Ninh province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the simultaneous construction of six schools including one primary and lower secondary school and five inter-level boarding schools in its land border communes.
The event is in line with the nationwide implementation of the Politburo’s directive on investing in school construction for border communes.
Among the 15 national connection points across the country, Quang Ninh was selected as one of the live broadcast sites connected with Vietnam Television (VTV) during the ceremony for Quang Son Primary and Lower Secondary School (Duong Hoa Commune).
The construction of these schools along the border marks a significant milestone, contributing to the realization of the Party and State’s ethnic and educational policies. It aims to foster socio-economic development, improve educational access and human resource quality, enhance living conditions for border residents, while also strengthening national defense and security, helping to build a solid and prosperous frontier region.
In accordance with Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW (dated July 18, 2025) issued by the Politburo, which outlines the policy on investing in school infrastructure for border communes, Quang Ninh has officially begun construction on the following six schools: Hoanh Mo Boarding Primary and Lower Secondary School (Hoanh Mo commune), Binh Lieu Boarding Primary and Lower Secondary School (Binh Lieu commune), Dong Tam Boarding Primary and Lower Secondary School (Luc Hon commune), Quang Duc Boarding Primary and Lower Secondary School (Quang Duc commune), Quang Son Boarding Primary and Lower Secondary School (Duong Hoa commune), and Hai Son Primary and Lower Secondary School (Hai Son commune).
The ceremony was held in a solemn and inspiring atmosphere, highlighting the profound significance of investing in education in border regions. This initiative not only helps improve learning conditions and preserve the rich cultural identity of ethnic minorities, but also promotes national solidarity, social welfare, and reinforces the province’s defense and security posture.
This meaningful event also celebrates the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982-2025) and the 79th anniversary of National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946-2025), while also marking a milestone on the journey toward the 14th National Party Congress.
